With an objective to provide incentives to manufacturing industries of micro, small & medium category, MP government has issued MSME development policy. The Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP) recognizes that MSMEs provide the largest share of employment after primary sector, is giving priority to the development of the MSME sector in the state.
Under this scheme, government will provide subsidy to the new industrial units @ 40% on the eligible investment made by them in Plant & Machinery and Building. This assistance shall be disbursed in 4 equal annual instalments i.e. 10% each year.
Established micro, small and medium industrial units which undertakes expansion will also be eligible for subsidy on their additional investment. But to certain conditions as follows:
.For established micro scale industrial units, additional investment for expansion in plant & machinery should be Rs.10 Lakhs or more.
.For established small scale industrial units, additional investment for expansion in plant & machinery should be Rs.25 Lakhs or more.
.For established medium scale industrial units, additional investment for expansion in plant & machinery should be Rs.1 Crore or more.
If total investment in plant & machinery is more than Rs.15 crore then the unit will not be eligible for subsidy under this policy.

Manufacturing unit must be excluding the negative list of industries
Mandatory for units to provide at least 70% of total employment to permanent residents of M.P.

PMEGP is a credit linked subsidy scheme backed by Government of India, aimed to provide financial assistance to individuals & others to set up their own business.Under this scheme by investing only 5% to 10% of the total project cost, beneficiaries can avail subsidy of 15% - 35% of the project cost based on different criteria.
Features of PMEGP scheme:
.Assistance is available only to new units to be established
.Maximum project cost of Rs. 25.00 lakhs in manufacturing sector and Rs. 10.00 lakhs in Service Sector
.Units that have already availed any Government Subsidy are not eligible
.Applicant must be above 18 years of age & Qualification at least VIII standard pass
