To help MSME’s in raising collateral-free loan from banks, the Government of India established a trust called, Credit Guarantee Funds Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) with the Ministry of Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSME) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
This scheme is to encourage first-time entrepreneurs to establish SME and MSME that do not have collateral security for availing loan from the eligible financial institutions for business. Under this scheme government provides credit guarantee to financial institutions for loans to MSMEs.
Under CGTMSE scheme, both new and existing micro and small enterprises including service enterprises are eligible for a loan amount in between 10 Lakhs – 2 Crore. Maximum loan eligibility depends on the borrower’s profile & business requirements.

Stand-Up India (SUI) scheme is an initiative by the Government of India to avail credit facility to Women Entrepreneurs & SC/ST. The objective of this scheme is to facilitate bank loans between Rs.10 lakh and Rs.1 Crore to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) borrower and woman borrower for setting up a new enterprise.
